A message from Nana whose in England

Hi everybody

Well, have been with Margaret and David today. We arrived at 7am and when Gran and I came out, there were Margaret and David plus Andy with his whole family to meet us. Last night we were hoisted up into the aircraft on the lift. It was very exciting to enter an aicraft this way. The plane was pretty full so there was no chance of moving to any better seats. We had aisle seats opposite one another which was fine. The service on board was very good and all through the night they were coming round with drinks. This morning we were woken at 5am which was really 4am for us and given breakfast. Mavis was very helpful and knew all the tricks. We had to wait until everyone was off the plane before they came to fetch Mavis and I. There were a couple of other wheelchair cases as well. While waiting for the wheelchairs to come, we sat on chairs after walking up the ramp into the terminal building. We did not wait long before the transport arrived in the form of one of those electric cars like they have at our airport. We were loaded up and taken all the way to the baggage collection area. We wizzed through immigration, no problem and then collected our bags which came off very smartly. It was all so easy, hope it will be like that when I come home.

We walked round the area here this morning and this afternoon while David was at the hospital having his knee x-rayed, (he hurt it while digging at his allotment) we drove to Culford School where Margaret used to work. A beautiful school with huge grounds. Used to belong to the Earl of Cadugan. It was parkland with a wonderful old stone building which is used more for administration now and new buildings have been built for the classrooms which are spread all over the grounds. Reminded me of the school in Joburg, St Stithians (spelling?)

It has been a lovely day here and now I am really tired. Keep wondering how it is going with dad. Forgot to tell you that his sweetie jar and biscuits in a tupperware box were nearly empty. Please give him a big hug and remind him where I am. I tried to send you all a text message but it wouldn't go through. Will try to get a new sim car sometime and then I can let you know the number.
