Small World full of things that go wrong

Last night we went off to friends Rory and Donna who we have not seen for months. They have the most beautiful home in Noordhoek, with a view over the ocean to die for and the sunset is unreal. Donna and I went to the same school, then co-incidentally worked at the same company and then can you believe it married 2 guys that were friends at school. But what was amazing last night was in discussion Michelle Ritchie's name came up and blow me down if Donna does say she knows Michelle and was at junior school with her GO FIGURE!!!!
Last night we were out on our own as the kids deserted us, James has gone away for the weekend (yes again) with his friend Nic, was so excited he just walked out, I had to call him back to get him to say good bye. . . Chris on the other hand went to movies and then to his girlfriend to go trick or treating, but the logistics of getting that right was such a nightmare. Eventually wonderful Aunty Ingrid came to the rescue and said he could sleep at her house last night.
Whilst on our way home over the mountain last night we came up behind a very very drunk driver trying to negotiate his way over the mountain. Unfortunately the call to the police took so long that by the time they dispatched the vehicle, it had already turned off to its home - at least we tried.
This morning I went off to have my facial my mom bought me for my birthday, only to get there and find no one there, apparently one of us got the times wrong and I was an hour late, so now I get to look forward to going to it next week instead.
So we continue to live in the mess since the flooring guys who were supposed to be here first thing this morning, have only now at 2pm pitched up to say their sander broke. They said they can sand with another sander but its not dustless and the whole house would get covered with dust - UH DUH what does he think we are going to say? so now our Sunday is stuffed since he will be here at 08h30 to sand the floors. They now also tell us that instead of doing it in sections, they are doing the entire job, they will move the furniture etc, but this is NOT going to be fun.
Bob had a productive day fixing electrical plugs and getting an old computer up to speed so now finally I don't have to fight with my kids for my computer, they have their own they can use.
Oh well let me go feed the 5 kids that Chris brought home and are all starving, so that they can go home and then get ready for the party they are all going to this evening.
